Parks & Playgrounds
The City of Geneva Park system boasts of over 12 different parks, ranging from small pocket parks nestled in our local neighborhoods to an expansive lakefront park with several miles of walking trails along Seneca Lake.
Parks which currently have playground components included:
- Brook Street
- Gulvin
- Jefferson
- Lakefront
- Nieder
- Richards Parks
- Ridgewood
- Washington
We also have Clark Street Fields which hosts softball and lacrosse games.
Funding for Improvements
Over the past two years, two of our parks have received capital funding for improvements to the parks, this includes Nieder park which boasts a new walking trail, full length basketball court and gazebo.
Lakefront Park
Lakefront Park, situated along the shores of Seneca Lake has walking trails that start from the Community Lakefront Playground all the way down to Seneca Lake Street Park where it continues on through the park and onto the Canal Parkway System of trails. Lakefront parks recent renovations include a new pedestrian bridge, improved shoreline structures, a beautiful boardwalk, seawall seating areas and a desk that hangs over the shores. To the East the park also encompasses the Geneva Events Center and Visitors Center, Gazebo, Boat Launch and Disc Golf Course.
KaBOOM! a "Rain or Shine" Play Instillation
Through grant funding from KaBOOM! a "rain or shine" play instillation was created at BiCentennial park in the Fall of 2016 with many interactive sidewalk games along the pathways leading to the park. Check it out!
